How-To Video: Variable Tiller Widths

At BCS, we're always talking about the versatility of our tractors. Some folks may not know that even our attachments have built-in versatility!

Take our most popular attachment for example - Rear-Tine Tillers. Most sizes of this attachment include the ability to easily change the tilling width. Having a narrower tilling option is extremely useful for creating custom beds for different crops, and for inter-row cultivation during the growing season.

Reducing the width is a fairly simple process that includes removing the outside row of tines, removing the outer edges of the tiller hood, and replacing the hood sections in the narrower setting (mounting holes are pre-drilled from the factory). With a few turns of the wrench, you can:

  • narrow a 30" Tiller to 26";
  • narrow a 26" Tiller to 20";
  • narrow a 33" Tiller to 27";
  • expand a 20" Tiller to 26" (expansion kit required, part number: TK1).

The smallest Tiller (18") is the only fixed-width Tiller model that BCS currently offers.

Check out our How-To Video showing the full step-by-step process.
